Ever since I learned that I could put words together and make a story I knew that I wanted to be a writer. In high school I worked as an editor of my high school’s newspaper. In college I discovered that I loved being a part of bringing stories to life on stage, so I followed a career in theater.  My passion is writing for children and I am constantly working on a picture book manuscript or middle grade novel.

I am a seamstress by trade and I apply the same approach to writing and editing. A hem or a small alteration in clothing can have a great effect on how things fit. It is the same with writing. A small change can make a big difference in a story.

When I am not writing I can be found reading, crafting, taking pictures, or playing my ukulele.
